Honeybees are used widely for pollination. At Van Berkel we invite a beekeeper to have enough bees around to pollinate our Ornithogalum saundersiae. Thanks to these honeybees we're ensured of excellent pollination. By placing enough hives at the field's edge, there are plenty of bees, resulting in flowers having a large number of berries, otherwise known as seedpods. The appearance of the flowers changes remarkably, so much so we can almost call it a new flower.
